Vauxhall VXR8 - It Nearly Broke My Neck!

There is something I normally found intrinsically odd about the sort of men and women who bought 'souped-up' versions of your average road vehicle. It must be fairly a boast to turn to your buddies and proclaim that your car has 615 Bhp, but when it's housed in the body of a VW Golf, it loses all of its supercar glamour. What it comes down to is whether or not you are willing to purchase a supercar that has a rather uncool badge on it. Nonetheless, some manufacturers are attempting to make their high end cars a small additional appealing.

Vauxhall have lately unveiled the VXR range, which essentially takes the regular Vauxhall models (Corsa, Astra, Zafira etc...) but adds a considerable amount of power under the bonnet and additional sporty looks on the body. The daddy of the range is the Vauxhall VXR8, which commands an impressive spec including a 431Bhp 6.2 Litre V8 engine which is capable of -60 in a skin melting four.9 seconds. I don't take these factory specs at face value when they arrive I prefer to locate out for myself. This is precisely what I did.

2 hours later I am lying on my sofa with a very poor neck ache. It seems that my body didn't genuinely enjoy the sheer acceleration of the VXR8 and is complaining vehemently. My neck discomfort manifested itself soon after my head was slung back repeatedly every single time I put my foot on the accelerator. The whole experience has left me feeling sore and grouchy, but to say it was fun would be a cruel understatement.

is the king of the brilliant cars with the boring badges. This muscle car has all the power and precision of a BMW M5, but at roughly half the cost, represents a lot better value for cash.
